Ubud Horse Stables is a secluded and tranquil horseback adventure destination, perched high above the edge of a verdant rice field. Established in 2015, Ubud Horse Stables is located in the traditional village of Desa Pupuan, Tegalalang, a scenic 30-minute drive from Ubud and around 1 hour drive from Mandala Desa. Ubud Horse Stables offers a unique experience for beginner and experienced riders.

How to get there: Transport is free (minimum 2 pax)! We bring you to Ubud. From there the driver from Ubud Horse stables will drive you to Ubud horse stables and after your ride, back to Ubud where our driver can pick you up again. It is also possible to book a car and driver for a full or half day. In that case you can combine your horse riding experience with other highlights in that area. We can give you many great suggestions, just ask!


Horse riding tour for beginners / 1 hour / Rp. 600.000 per person

The easiest tour suits those who  will enjoy their first ride on horseback. Beginner  riders can proceed at a slow and gentle pace, setting out from behind a typical Balinese village compound , on a ride that passes through tropical forest, rivers, scenic rice paddies on the way back to the village. Take a break while sipping on a fresh coconut in the middle of the rice fields near Pura Dalem (Lord Siva’s temple). Then head back to the stables.

Horse Riding Tour For Intermediate Riders 2 hours /Rp. 900.000 per person

For more experienced riders,  enjoy the scenic views while you trot and canter up and down hillsides. You will be guided out of a Balinese village compound onto roads and tracks that lead you through a bamboo forest and along rice paddies. On your way to Tegalalang Cultural Village,  stop for a rest near the Pura Dalem (Lord Siva’s temple), where you will enjoy the refreshing taste of coconut water.  Then, continue to enjoy the panoramic views while you ride up and down hills, through fields of orange trees, and coffee and coconut plantations. Your return to the stables marks the end of the tour.

Horse Riding Tour For Advanced Riders / 3 hours / Price: Rp. 1.400.000 per person

A spectacular experience awaits the advanced rider who can expertly handle a horse very well, while trotting and cantering up and down hills. Starting out from the stables, set behind a Balinese compound, the tour leads to Tegalalang Cultural Village, through abundant  rice fields, a bridge, rivers, and the traditional village of Sebatu., Stop to enjoy a light meal at Waroeng Sebatoe while you gaze out at a panoramic view. Then, continue your ride through Sebatu rice fields, orange fields, coffee and coconut plantations until you return to the stables.

Inclusions: Shuttle car, mineral water, coconut water, helmet, insurance, lunch at Warung Sebatu.

Horse Riding and Jungle Trek to Waterfall / 2,5 hour / Rp. 1.200.000 per person

A combination tour suitable for novice to advance riders to ride a horse in a verdant rice fields all the way to coffee plantation and continue walking down hills to a virgin, exotic non-touristic waterfall. Get wet and do not forget to bring your changing clothes and waterproof camera. Keep some energy to walk up hills and this memorable tour will end up with a picnic with a taste of coconut water, and back to stables on a horse to enjoy your lunch.
